A trailing, large leaved, spreading Viola with peculiar purse-like purple and white flowers.

Possible Situation
Best in a basket with other Violas or summer patio plants.

Ideal Conditions
Prefers cool, protected, partial shade, especially in summer months with moist, but free draining soil or compost.

Temperature Tolerance
A hardy plant which should survive normal winter conditions outside, especially if protected from the hardest frosts.

Plant Care
Dead-head, or trim to prolong flowering into the autumn. Cut the plants back in autumn and give a mulch and feed. Beware of slugs and aphids - both are fond of Viola's.
