Description
A sensational variegated 'Jacob’s Ladder'. A medium sized mound of mid-green ferny leaves. Each leaflet strongly edged in creamy white and flushed with pink during cooler spring months. Clusters of lightly fragrant violet-blue bells rise taller in mid to late spring.

Possible Situation
Striking foliage will brighten shady locations in border fronts, woodland gardens, cottage gardens or shade gardens.

Ideal Conditions
Prefers cool partial shade in the hottest summer months, with free draining soil or compost. Prefers rich, humusy, consistently moist soils that do not dry out.

Temperature Tolerance
A hardy plant which should survive normal winter conditions outside, especially if protected from the hardest frosts.

Plant Care
Plants may be cut back to basal foliage after flowering or if foliage declines to tidy the planting and to encourage a possible late summer rebloom.
