Description
A strappy, rich blue foliage plant, similar to a dwarf Phormium, but tougher. This variety grows in clumps and has an abundance of baby blue flowers which grow to about 55cm in height.

Ideal for mass planting for landscaping, or for central features in containers.

Ideal Conditions
Dianella caerulea species are a very drought tolerant species and is happy in free draining dry, or slightly moist soil. Full Sun or partial shade.

Temperature Tolerance
Can survive winter in very well protected situations, especially if sheltered from hard frosts.

Plant Care
Provide a good mulch or compost when first planted. Will benefit from a fertilser application at least once a year. May need trimming every spring to maintain neat habit.
